Indefinite Hiatus 

Greetings Heroes! 

First we want to let you know Overwatch Chicago is officially on an indefinite hiatus.

We have to thank all the players, and fans who made this community thrive. We met a lot of great Overwatch players who taught us true sportsmanship exists in eSports. Just like the game we enjoy so much, we saw players of all walks of life from all over Illinois; enjoyed watching teams work together to push the payload or protect their healers! Without your support and enthusiasm, this would have never existed.

 

Why now!?

Some of you may be wondering why we are going on a hiatus- we always tried to be transparent and in the end, the cost and time commitment were too high to continue to operate in the capacity we wanted.  

 

Whats Next?

We will continue to keep discord/virtual presence alive. We are also open to any other games that foster a fun in-person experience. Both Maverick and Randum will be around, just not as regular as our season. We will be attending BlizzCon this year so if you plan on attending or will be watching online, I'm sure we will be discussing all the new announcements. 

Online scrim/open nights are still happening and meet ups in person at the various gaming lounges in the area- discord should have all the details.
